I was born and raised in Cobb County, but not in a Christian home. Through attending church camps and VBS, I was introduced to Christ. My family began attending church when I was in 9th grade, and that same year I accepted Christ as my Savior. As a little girl, my favorite playtime was playing mommy to my baby dolls, so I knew early on that I wanted to work with children. Like most teenagers in a church, I started volunteering in the nursery and preschool areas. I fell in love with teaching children, and as the years progressed, I began to feel the Lord leading me to children’s ministry. I have served as a Children’s Ministry Director and Preschool Director for over 20 years and am very blessed that God gave me the opportunity to teach children about Jesus through serving in church ministry and through Christian-based academics. I have so enjoyed being a part of the plan in children’s lives to help them come to know Jesus. My journey through life has been with my husband, Jay, whom I met in the 9th grade. God blessed us with an awesome son, Tanner.
