Mount Paran North Church of God is a diverse and loving community of worshippers in Marietta whose vision is to help people live a Christ-centered life.

We are gathering women of all ages and every walk of life to inspire and encourage you in your walk with Christ. Check back soon for a complete list of breakout sessions.

Kai Sowell is a passionate communicator and visionary leader with a heart to see women empowered, equipped, and awakened to their God-given purpose. Originally from Connecticut and raised in Pennsylvania, she now resides in Atlanta, Georgia, where she and her husband, Pastor Mayo Sowell, lead LIIV Atlanta—a thriving church they planted in 2022.
A graduate of Temple University with a background in Communications and Advertising, Kai’s journey to ministry began when she found herself searching for more and decided to try God. That step led her to a life of purpose, ministry, and leadership. She and her husband previously served at Church of the Highlands in Alabama, where they launched a campus and graduated from Highlands College.
Kai speaks from a place of authenticity, shaped by her personal testimony of transformation and the journey of trusting God through every season. Outside of ministry, Kai is a proud wife and devoted mom to three amazing kids: Cannon, Brave, and Liberty. She loves group fitness, dance, a great cup of coffee, and spending quality time with her family.

The Bloom Women’s Conference is a one-day gathering designed for women of all ages – middle school and older – who desire to grow and deepen their relationship with Christ. The day is filled with worship, teaching, breakout sessions, and opportunities for fellowship, reflection, and renewal. Through inspiring messages, meaningful community, and practical encouragement, Bloom seeks to empower women to live boldly in their God-given calling and learn what it means to abide in Christ.
Abide is more than a moment, it’s a lifestyle.
Jesus reminds us in John 15:4 that we cannot bear fruit apart from Him. This theme invites women to release striving and rediscover the beauty of dependence on Christ. Abiding is about relationship over performance, presence over pressure, and trust over control. When we remain in Him, transformation happens from the inside out, producing fruit that lasts.
At Bloom 2026, we will explore what it looks like to stay connected to Jesus in every season and allow Him to do the work only He can do.

In the gospels, Jesus invited his disciples and others to do more than make a single decision for him. He invited them to “follow” him. Before Jesus’ followers were ever called “Christians”, they were called “followers of the Way” (Acts 9:2, 19:9).
What does a relationship with God look like in today’s culture? How do we live it out with Him and others?
Whether you’ve recently made a commitment to Jesus or simply desire to grow in your relationship with Him, you’re invited to participate.
LEADERS: Jon & Monica Rogers

Join us as we study the book of Hebrews verse by verse.

Leader: Paul & Amy Hutchinson

These New Testament letters teach that we are saved by faith in Christ alone, not by works, and adopted into God’s family. This new relationship with God calls believers to a life which walks by the Spirit; producing good fruit, holiness, and unity that glorifies God. Join us as we walk verse by verse through these two books.
LEADER: Laura Hunnicutt

What is the Bethel Bible Study?
Bethel is a comprehensive overview of the entire Bible – bridging Old and New Testaments together as “one” book. Students see each part of the Bible as it relates to the whole, and the entire Bible as it relates to each part. A balanced view of the unity of the message found in God’s Word using the “precept upon precept” approach. Each week builds on the previous week.
Structure: a systematic, chronological study of the Bible from Genesis through Revelation. Theological themes are revealed from book to book such as purpose, suffering, grace, covenant, forgiveness,
character, etc., by Scripture interpreting Scripture.
Style: The study method is best described by the concept “Thinking Hebrew” – looking at scripture based on Hebrew perspective allowing us to approach God’s Word with a fuller understanding of His covenant and character based on its original intent. We have a very enthusiastic and gifted “teaching team” that are as excited about discovering and bringing forth God’s truth, as much as you will be hearing them.
Classroom attendance is essential to keeping up. Each week builds on the last and the lecture material expands on the material the student has already reviewed before class. However, if you have to miss a class, each lesson will be recorded and made available. Some study time outside of class is necessary to complete the weekly
assignments. The bigger your investment, the greater your rewards.
Class Format
Bethel classes meet Sunday evenings from 6 to 8pm with a break halfway through each lesson. There are approximately 20 Old Testament Lessons and 20 New Testament Lessons with a 4-month break during the summer. The format is predominantly lecture style, providing a classroom atmosphere of learning. There will be some opportunity for short-answer questions. Questions from other classes will be provided with weekly handout material.
Frequently Asked Questions
I’ve heard Bethel is difficult and intense, is that true?
NO! The format has changed. Our new hybrid approach allows each student to take the class at whatever level is best for them. You will discover the lectures to be both informative and inspirational. Our new format is very user-friendly.
Does Bethel cover the entire Bible?
Yes, from Genesis to Revelation, the Bethel format touches on every book during this study and connects the Old and New Testament in a unique way.
Is Bethel Fun?
In a word, YES! Bethel is a classroom environment with learning and discovering God’s truths. You will have FUN, along with others seeking to go deeper with God and discovering that God intended to reveal Himself through the study of His Word and will for you, as well. You will get to know the other students and may even develop some friendships.
Is there a cost for this course?
Yes. There is a cost of $40 for the Old Testament and $40 for the New Testament. You will receive more than your money’s worth.

This Life Group is for parents and others who desire to become equipped in having loving, truthful conversations about identity with teens, family members, or others in their circles of influence. This class will study the principles undergirding the spiritual attack on identity as well as what God’s Word says on these topics. Younger generations need us to be able to enter conversations about gender dysphoria, same-sex attraction, transgenderism, pornography, and more. The ultimate goal is to help those we love to discover and embrace the identity our Creator God has given to each of us, as revealed in the Scriptures (https://findinghim.co/blogs/news/who-am-i). This community group will meet on the 2nd Sunday of the month. Our first meeting is Sunday, October 12, from 5pm – 7pm.
LEADERS: Suzanne & Dave Dawson

On the night he was betrayed, Jesus promised the disciples that when he leaves he would send another – the “paraclete”, a helper, the Spirit to be with them, guide them, and empower His ministry through them. As “apprentices” (followers) of Jesus, we have received the Holy Spirit, too, but what does that mean? Join Pastor Jon and Monica Rogers for a biblical discussion of the Spirit’s presence throughout the Bible, what that means for us, and ways to experience the “person” and presence of the Spirit in relationship.

Community mentors guide and support students as they research, collaborate, and develop solutions related to their chosen topics. Through this process, students apply the knowledge, skills, and attributes they have developed throughout the PYP, demonstrating their ability to think critically, take action, and communicate their findings effectively. Insights, expertise, and encouragement from mentors will help students deepen their understanding, make meaningful connections, and confidently share their learning with the school community. The relationships formed during this process are meaningful, and students cherish the support, guidance, and enthusiasm that mentors bring, making their learning experience even more engaging and impactful.

Most Christians want to share their faith, but don’t do so out of fear. This six-week Life Group will help you learn how to share the gospel in a natural, non-threatening way.
LEADER: David Farmer
Why continue living your life by the world standards that brings fear and anxiety, while you risk spending your eternity separated from the God who loves you.
You do not have to live that way because Jesus holds the key. When you surrender your heart, Jesus sets you free.
Jesus said, “All power and authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me… you can be sure that I am always with you, to the very end.” (Matthew 28:18-20)
Why not surrender now while you have the choice? Time is short. If you know your heart is not right, or you’ve made bad decisions in the past, or you’re simply not sure it’s time to know you are right with the Lord. There is nothing magical about the prayer; it’s about the sincerity of your heart in this moment.
Pray this simple prayer to receive Christ as your Savior.
Heavenly Father,
I thank you for Jesus. He’s more than I can ever imagine and He is more than I’ll ever need. Thank you for the sacrifice you made. Jesus, thank you that you died on a cross. You paid a price that was meant for me. And you‘ve given me life that I don’t deserve. I ask you to forgive me of my sins and I accept your Lordship over my life. Lead me, guide me, direct me. Take my head, my heart, and my hands. I give you my thoughts, the intents of my heart, and the work of my hands. Be Lord over all of those. Help me to live a free and abundant life that only comes from being in a right relationship with you.
In the all-sufficient and mighty name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
The Bible says there is rejoicing in the presence of angels when one accepts Jesus.
If you made a decision today, we want to partner with you. Let us know that you accepted Jesus. We will give you resources to help you grow in your relationship with God.

Not raised in church or in a Christian environment, Cindy felt the Holy Spirit drawing her to the Lord at a very young age. At 16, she gave her life fully to Christ and accepted the call to ministry soon after. She and her husband, Bill have been married for forty-two years and reside in North Georgia.

In this ever-changing and increasingly more technologically connected world, Americans report feelings of increasing anxiousness year over year. In the day-to-day, women continue to report higher rates of fatigue. How can we, as followers of Christ, better handle the difficulties of life which make us feel weak and weary? Isaiah 40:27-31 gives us hope and an encouraging boost. In this session, we’ll unpack the promise of this text. The eternal Creator God is our never-ending source of provision, hope and strength. We must continually turn to God and put our trust in Him. He alone can sufficiently help us rise above our circumstances to soar on eagle’s wings.
Laura R. Hunnicutt – Speaker & Teacher
Laura Hunnicutt has been serving at Mount Paran North for over 10 years in the worship ministry as a singer, and most recently as a discipleship group facilitator. IS THIS GROUP FOR YOU?
If you have ever thought that the Bible is too big to read, a little intimidating, or if you have ever wondered how all the events and pieces fit together, then this group may be for you. This Life Group is designed to bring the entirety of the Bible into focus.
The Bible was compiled over at least 1,500 years, penned by 40 different human authors from many socio-economic backgrounds and time periods, but has themes and connected details that only a very big God could connect and orchestrate. With easy to comprehend material, we will study the main themes and sections of the Bible, helping us to more fully grasp the words God has spoken to us in His Word.
Whether you are new to the Bible, a seasoned believer, or simply curious, this class will help you be less intimidated by the size of the Bible, be drawn to its Author, and better equipped to read, comprehend, and respond to its words and thematic messages.
We’ll use the book “What’s It All About?”, which is an easy-to-read narration of the main events in the Bible. The endnotes and study guide assist readers to enter the Scriptures. The book is available at https://findinghim.co (choose local delivery) or can be purchased in person.

Christal is a graduate of North Greenville University where she majored in Broadcast Media & minored in Theater. Christal has been blessed to put her love for the arts and communications to use through various platforms—as an intern for Dove Broadcasting at WGGS of Greenville, SC, a representative within the Miss South Carolina Scholarship Organization, and a storyteller at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. Christal currently resides in Orlando where she is the grateful owner of Fairytale Enchantment Events. Through her company she has the joy of visiting children each day as their “fairy godmother” to help them get dressed and ready for adventure before heading into the theme parks! She feels so blessed to have had the opportunity to work both as a performer and a communicator, but her greatest passion in life is youth and women’s ministries. Christal desires that everyone would come to discover their worth and beauty in Christ Jesus. Christal serves as a student leader at her wonderful church, Mosaic, and is on the Girls’ Ministries board for the International Pentecostal Holiness Church. She especially feels called to tend to the hearts of her sisters in Christ and hopes that her soon-to-be published devotional, Treasured, will be a reminder of God’s faithful love for us no matter what our story has been. Christal desires to pursue opportunities that will help others recognize the worthiness of Jesus and, that by abiding with Him, He makes us worthy of being citizens of Heaven!”

The concept of Glorious Marriage Revolution was birthed on December 14, 2017 when Michelle Harrell (inspired by the Holy Spirit) had the idea of doing a study group on the book, The Power of A Praying Wife through Facebook live. God ignited a fire in the hearts of women across the globe and HE added to our number by the hundreds and then thousands! For years, Michelle and her husband, Brian, called their marriage glorious and had a strong desire to see others have that same glory in their marriages. Overnight, this group became a Revolution! As God formed this idea in Michelle’s heart, HE gave it the name Glorious Marriage Revolution. Since then, God has expanded GMR into a broad-spectrum women’s ministry that serves all women in all seasons of life. Whether married, single, divorced, or widowed, young or seasoned in life, we want to follow God as He raises up an army of women who know how to fight the real enemy.
