Community Care Pastor

I grew up in a small town outside of Buffalo NY. My family moved every few years and I ended up in Marietta, GA to complete high school.

I worked in retail management for ten years then moved to production management for another five years.

My life changed when God led me to a small church in Smyrna. I stood at the back of the church watching a couple praising God while arm in arm. I told God I wanted that. It was also there that I met my wife of 31 years, Kathy.

Together, we adopted two grade school boys who are now mid-life adults. We are the proud grandparents of five grandkids and enjoy watching our family grow.

We have served on staff since 1993 and truly call this place home. Our closest friends have come from our church and it is a great joy to live out the scriptures with them.

We do not read a lot of books. We wait for the movie to come out.

I have shaken hands with one of our country’s presidents, and spent a day swimming in Johnny Cash’s pool.

“The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.”
