Serving Others—one of our vision pillars—is using our God-given abilities and resources to help meet the needs of others. Serving others is Christ-centered love in action. By sharing that love, we can make a positive impact within our congregation as well as our local community and the world abroad.
Each one of us has been uniquely gifted by the Holy Spirit to accomplish God’s work.
If you are currently not serving in a ministry area, or feel God is leading you to another ministry area, take time to review the areas of ministry listed below. Select the area(s) that are of interest to you and we will provide you with more information.
Care and Counseling
If you feel called to support others within our congregation experiencing life difficulties, there are many opportunities to provide them with the comfort and counsel of the Lord. Training is provided.
- Bereavement Minister
- Hope Minister
- Visitation Minister
Children and Students
We want our young people (and parents) to receive strong Bible teaching and spiritual mentorship while building positive friendships and experiencing a time of much-needed refreshment. If you feel led to care and mentor the younger generations, we need you.
- Guest Services
- North Kids
North partners with several agencies to provide support for specific needs within our local community. While we offer many special church-wide events throughout the year, there are monthly and weekly volunteer opportunities available.
- Men of Acts – Handyman and lawn care services.
- Good News Club – Children ministry support during after-school programs.
- Love in Stitches – Make and donate quilts to people in need.
Share your gift of hospitality by making our guests feel welcome every time they come to the North campus. Many roles are available. Everyone is welcome.
Life Group Leaders
Have the gift of teaching and leadership? We are looking for talented facilitators who can share their love and knowledge of God’s word while building community.
Sunday Morning Life Group Leader – Facilitate a larger group (~40 people) each Sunday during either the 9:30 or 11:00am service.
Weekday Community Life Group Leader – Facilitate a small group (~12 people) a minimum of 1-2 times per month.
Serve others by working with career missionaries abroad during a short 5-10 day trip. We offer several opportunities each year. Find one where God may be leading you to visit.
Prayer is one of our highest callings as believers. God looks to us to be His partner on this earth to bring about His will and call upon His power to change people’s lives. Become a part of the North intercessor team supporting special events throughout the year.
